The third game of opening night featured former champions Mt. Sinai versus newcomers Queensboro Temple. Mt Sinai had a relatively new lineup with only a few players remaining from their winning season. Queensboro was starting off fresh for the most part as they had a few players who played for other teams in the previous season.

After the whistle blew Mt Sinai got the tip-off but was unable to complete their play to get on the scoreboard. With 15:14 on the clock QBT scored first to,Mt. Sinai responded in the next few seconds to tie tie the score at 2 all. Once they broke through the scoring barrier Mt. Sinai continued to pull out leaving QBT to play catch-up. QBT was not able to consistently complete their plays and was lacking in the defense department. However as the game continued their level of play improved and they began to build up the points after a slow start. At the half the score was Queensboro Temple - 20, Mt Sinai - 35

In the second half QBT continued to hustle but it was an uphill battle all the way. Mt. Sinai was able to maintain an easy lead and appeared to be using the time to run their team through its paces, trying out different combinations and plays. QBT was not able to reduce the score in their favor and the game ended with Mt. Sinai getting their 1st win. Final Score Queensboro Temple - 50, Mt. Sinai -66
